This is basically a copy of my about page, but as I speak about me and my motivations, I thought it was a good idea to store it as a first post too.

About Me

I created this webpage as a way to showcase anonymously my photography, travels, experiences, and thoughts, but well, there is nothing anonymous on the internet nowadays. Hopefully, my content will resonate with some fellas in cyberspace.

As a little context for who I am, I am a software engineer currently living in Tokyo. I love taking photos, learning new languages, and traveling.

My Gear

Currently, I have three cameras:

  • Canon AE-1 Program
  • Fuji XT-20
  • Olympus MJU II

Well, as you can see, I’m more into film photography than digital. I even develop most of my film.

As a photo editor, I use only Darktable, mainly because it is a free and open-source tool.

Moral Code

One of the main reasons for creating this webpage is that with the increase of AI, realistic bots, and other awful practices on the rise in the web, I realized that I got myself into a position where I’m extremely disappointed with all the available options.

So, I want to move away from these companies and start supporting only places in cyberspace that treat my data, content, and photos more responsibly.

That said, I want to make one vow:

  1. My content might be orthographically checked by an AI (English is not my main language) but never generated by one.
  2. My photos are not photoshopped, only adjusted with a simple editor; everything is real.
  3. My photos (of course) are not generated by AI.
  4. If, by any chance, I grow a community and want to monetize this blog, I will always think first about you. This means no 20 pop-ups or annoying banners with ads.
  5. I will continue with this page as long as I’m having fun.

So, like they say in Japan よろしくお願いします (Yoroshiku onegaishimasu)
